I promised to post pictures from the Dadiya Ras festival, I have not forgotten. Hijo took some videos. These will have to wait until November before I can post them. Its going to be worth the wait.
The pics… the folks at the festival were doing some kind of dance with sticks. After taking pictures of them, they invited myself and Hijo to join the dancing circle. We danced with the circle twice before defecting. The people (bless their kind hearts) did cheer us on even though we didn’t have a clue what the dance move was all about. The joy was all in the participation. We even had a couple of locals take our pictures.. we were the only foreigners there (and boy did we pose!)
